Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) (Hons)

Bachelor of Computer Science was established mainly to support the development and the needs of the computer industry in general. It is developed specifically to fulfils the needs of the software development from all aspect that is from the system specification level to the manageable system level after it has been utilized. This program will be as an encouragement to the computer technology innovation with the latest product development towards the developed industry.

Graduates of Bachelor of computer Science (software Engineering) will have wide career opportunities whether form private sector or public especially with any computer industry. Graduates may hold a post as: •System analyst •Information System Executives •Database Administrator •Knowledge Based Engineer •Software Engineering •Software Consultant •System Administrator •Researcher OR there is also the option to pursue Masters studies within or outside the country with the view to acquiring a higher qualification.


MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT


•Pass STPM with passed 2 subjects and credit in Mathematics at the SPM level; or


•Pass A-Level with passed 2 subjects and credit in Mathematics at the SPM level; or


•Pass Foundation Program in related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and credit in Mathematics at the


SPM level/other equivalent qualification ; or


•Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with grade B in 5 subjects inclusive Mathematics ; or


•Pass Ministry of Education (MOE) Matriculation programme with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and credit in


Mathematics at the SPM level; or


•Pass Australia Capital Territory (Year 12)/SACE/Victorian Certificate of Education(VCE)/Western


Australian Certificate of Education(WACE)/South Australian Matriculation(SAM)/Tertiary Entrance


Education(TEE)/O-Level/Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT)/International Baccalurate and credit in


Mathematics at the SPM level; or


•Pass Diploma programme in related field with minimum CGPA of 2.50; or


•Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK with minimum CGPA of 2.00 (or equivalent) ; or


Other equivalent qualification recognized by Government of Malaysia And


•Credit in Bahasa Melayu at the SPM level


•Have taken MUET or


•Pass IELTS with band 6 and above or


•Pass TOEFL with score 550 and above


* Candidates not having sat for the MUET may still be accepted into the program with the condition that the candidates MUST sit for the MUET examination prior to the completion of their studies/graduation at UNITEN.
