In UNITEN, there are 4 buildings of hostel for students. Two of them is for male students while the others two are for female students. I am a male students so I stay at male hostel. There are two types of male hostel, one is cheaper and another one is more expensive, but of course when you pay expensive, you deserve the quality of the accommodation that you will get. The name of the hostel building that I currently stay in is Cendikiawan Apartment. The accommodation fees for this apartment cost me RM1120 per semester. But as you pay, you are paying for the quality. Of course when you pay more, you get better quality.
There are three blocks of building in Cendikiawan Apartment. Each blocks consists of ten levels. Each levels are built with eight apartments, except for 10th floor, there is one room where it is used to keep all the student's stuffs during semester break, and that room also known as "Store Room". Each apartment consists of four rooms. Each room are occupied by one student. So, let us total up the amount of students that can accommodate in this Cendikiwan Apartment.
Each apartment consists of 4 rooms, each level consists of 8 apartments, and each block of building consists of 10 levels, and there are 3 blocks of building in Cendikiawan Apartment.
Calculation :
4 x 8 x 10 x 3 = 960
Wow!! From the result, we know that Cendikiawan Apartment can accommodate up to 960 students. Amazing numbers, isn't it ?
There are some reason that you need to state in when you fill up the appeal form. Some of the reasons such as distance from home to here, near to facilities department, near to food court and much more. The accommodation office management will distribute the apartment to students by referring to their needs during their stay in UNITEN.
