The Bachelor of Information Technology (Graphic and Multimedia) (Hons.)

The Bachelor of Information Technology is one of the degree programs that offered by the UNITEN for the COIT's students. In this program, it is specialized design to help or prepare students to the higher career environment where the profession in this field are needed in order to produce a product that meets both quality and world's standard. Beside that, it also prepared students in many aspects of learning skills and practical in IT field in order that students can meet the requirement in IT industry as well as in the engineering sectors too. In this program, there are two majors where students can choose at when they are finish their Foundation in IT program. One of them is Graphic and Multimedia. This program is one of the most favorite program among students in IT field who love graphics and animation.



Courses in graphic multimedia start right after the foundation. The whole courses taking total 120 credit hours in order to get graduate. The course are divide into 3 years or approximately 9 semesters. The course content are as Programming I & Programming II, computer organization, basic drawing, basic drawing, modelling and creativity, multimedia design and interface design, operating system concepts and more. Beside this, students are also required to take elective subject such as Malaysian studies, Malay language, Moral I, II, and III.In addition, these all elective subjects aimed to produce well-balanced students. During third semester, students will go through industrial training where they can purpose to industrial companies in Malaysia to recruits them as an intern for that particular company. During that time, students can try their own best to show what they've learn and apply in their assignment.



In the final year, the students need to choose some topics from the technical electives, whereby they can specialize theirs area of interest. Among the technical elective courses are game design, audio & video technology, computer animation, virtual reality, AI & game aestatic and computer graphic 2. All these subjects will help students to get know more about graphic and multimedia and also provide a medium whereby students can learn more and apply the knowledge and skills acquired into their respective area of interest.


In order to take this program, applicant must already pass their foundation's program which is the Foundation In Information Technology that are under the College of Foundation & General Studies or pass STPM with two subjects and credit in Mathematics at the SPM level. Beside that, applicant whose haven't sit for MUET still can be accept but with the condition that applicant must sit for the MUET examination prior to the completion of their graduation at UNITEN.



Fees structure as follows :



Foundation in IT : RM 11,500

Bachelor of Information Technology (Graphics and Multimedia) : RM 40,000

Total fees (Foundation + Degree) : RM 51,500

Duration : 1 year (Foundation) + 3 years (Degree)
