Featured lecturer: Professor Dr.Chandan Kumar Chakrabarty




Professor Dr.Chandan Kumar Chakrabarty  is one of the senior lecturers in the College of Engineering of Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He obtained his PhD in 1996 in Inductively Coupled RF Plasma Nitriding from Flinders University of South Australia. Before that he obtained his MSc and BSc (Hon) in Physics in 1989 and in 1986 respectively, both from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

His experience in teaching Physics, Statics, Differential Equations, Calculus, Electromagnetism, Engineering Electromagnetics, RF & Microwave Engineering and Semiconductor Devices makes him an all-rounder in handling students of multi-discipline in the university.

His working experience includes in University of Malaya as a tutor from 1986 to 1989, at Schmidt Scientific (Mal) as a Service Engineer from 1990 to 1991, at Sitt Tatt Ind Gases as a Technical Sales and Services Engineer from 1991 to 1992. He has also worked in SIRIM as a Research Officer from 1992 to 1998.

At UNITEN, his current research area revolves around RF & Microwave Engineering.
